A unit of Metro Pacific Tollways Corp. (MPTC) plans to issue P30 billion to develop, together with the Philippine Reclamation Authority (PRA) a 22-kilometer toll road in Cavite, which will involve a road to Sangley, which may be progressed into an international airport.
Cavitex Infrastructure Corp. (CIC) president Roberto Bontia said the project is exacted to be submitted to the Toll Regulatory Board (TRB) this month.
“We are getting a resolution for approval with the PRA board and after that, jointly with the PRA and CIC, we will submit to the TRB,” he said.
Bontia said the alternative Segment 5 alignment project would help as an extension of the concession of the Manila-Cavite Expressway (CAVITEX).
The entire alignment will span 22 kilometers, of which the Sangley spur road would be about five kilometers.
The project will run from Kawit to Noveleta, Noveleta to Sangley, and then Sangley to Tanza. (Richmond Mercurio)
