Monsoon showers hit parts of the country, aiding the critical water level of Angat Dam, the source of water supply to Metro Manila.
The light to moderate monsoon rains may produce floods and landslides in Metro Manila and the provinces of Zambales, Bataan, Tarlac, Pampanga, Bulacan, Cavite, Batangas, Mindoro, and Palawan, told PAGASA.
Ilocos Region, Visayas, the rest of Central Luzon, Mimaropa and Calabarzon meanwhile will encounter cloudy skies with occasional raining, said the weather agency.
Due to Angat Dam’s low water level, the water supply in Metro Manila was cut to 36 cubic meters per second from 40 m³/s since the weekend, the NWRB said. Some areas have since endured rotational water supply outages.
On Wednesday evening, tropical depression Dodong left the Philippine area of responsibility after causing rains that triggered floods in parts of the country.
