On a Facebook post on Sunday, Maynilad announced that they will be conducting the second phase of its Putatan Water Treatment Plant 2 Project, which will improve the facility’s production capacity and enhance service reliability for Maynilad customers in the south region.
According to the water service provider, this project will affect the expansion of the Ultrafiltration, Reverse Osmosis and Biological Aerated Filter processes of PWTP2 to urge plant production from only 100mld (million liters per day) to as much as 150mld.
As the project continues, Maynilad says that customers in parts of Las Piñas, Muntinlupa, Parañaque, and Imus and Bacoor in Cavite will experience water service interruptions every day from September 27, 2019 (Friday) until October 7, 2019 (Monday).
Below is the complete list of the affected barangays and their respective schedules.
Affected customers are prompted to save enough water for the duration of the water service interruptions. Maynilad has 30 water tankers prepared for usage, ready to deliver water to concerned areas as needed.
The company advises its customers to let the water flow out for a few seconds until it clears upon resumption of the water service.
