The 36-hectare resort in Kawit, Cavite Island Cove, is scheduled to shut down on July 28, 2018 after 20 years of operation.
Many were startled by the resort’s announcement in its Facebook page on Friday, stating that it shall tender it last day on July 28.
“After 20 years of providing world-class leisure, recreation, and celebrations, Island Cove Hotel and Leisure Park will close its doors and cease operations on July 28, 2018,” Island Cove said.
“It has been a pleasure serving our guests and clients as well as working with our partners over the past 2 decades. To have served beyond the ordinary with the warmth of Filipino hospitality has been our joy and honor,” the management added.
Before the shocking news, Island Cove released a “last chance room sale,” giving a 40% discount on all guests availing any type of accommodation from June 27 to July 27.
Philippine News Agency earlier reported that Island Cove will close “in line with the purchase conditions agreed upon with the still unnamed new business owners.”
