The local government of Silang will host the pre-registration, including publicity and screening activity, for the Cavite leg of “Operation Smile” to benefit children with cleft lips, cleft palates and other facial deformities.
Silang Community Affairs Chief Noah M. Caasi announced Thursday that Silang would also welcome candidates from nearby Cavite towns of Amadeo and General Mariano Alvarez, and the cities of Dasmariñas, Imus and General Trias who hope to avail of the free reconstructive surgeries spearheaded by the ‘Operation Smile’ Philippines (OSP) project.
Caasi stated that the pre-registration activity will be conducted at the Silang Rural Health Unit (RHU) at 2 to 4 p.m. from June 5 to 8.
He said that ‘Operation Smile,’ a globally known international medical charity, will lead its surgical mission in Cavite to be held at the Pagamutan ng Dasmariñas in Dasmariñas City from June 10 to 16.
“The actual surgery dates will be announced accordingly during the pre-registration dates,” Caasi explained.
He continued that there is no minimum residency required and stated, “we just need them to come so we can get their vital signs to get the proper clearance from the RHU”.
