CARMONA, CAVITE- To intensify contact tracing strategy, the municipal government of Carmona inspected establishments to ensure everyone is using the Carmona Digital Contact Tracer app.
In a Facebook post, Mayor Roy Loyola said he personally took rounds to check on businesses’ installations of the app, wherein at least 3 establishments were visited.
QR codes were seen posted in each booth, intended to log all interactions digitally.
Loyola insisted on installing the app as its features were deliberately designed to aid the LGU’s health office in contact tracing.
“Dahil sa patuloy na pagtaas ng bilang ng confirmed COVID-19 positive cases sa ating bayan, ipinapaalala po sa lahat ang kahalagahan ng pag-install at paggamit ng Carmona Digital Contact Tracing app,” (Due to increasing number of COVID-19 positive cases in our town, we are reminding everyone the importance of installing and using Carmona Digital Contact tracing app), he said in a post.
Other than indoor stalls, Carmona LGU also met the business sector virtually to remind them of the urgent need to comply.
The said app is available both for iOS and Android phone users.
Meanwhile, as of Thursday, July 23, 18 new COVID-19 cases were added, climbing to a total of 127 confirmed cases.
Data showed that at least 8 of the additional patients work as frontliners during the pandemic.
