All the 1,700 barangay tanods, or village watchmen, of 97 barangays in Imus City received life insurance and health cards.
Third District (Imus) Representative Alex L. Advincula and some city officials supervised the distribution of the cards, with names and identification numbers, to the tanods in a gathering at the Imus plaza sports complex.
The insurance and health card entitles each tanod at least P15,000 hospitalization coverage in any of the city’s premier hospitals, and P50,000 in case of demise. More than P800,000 was allocated for the tanod cards.
