Three people, including a presumed drug pusher, were shot dead on Tuesday in two incidents in Barangay San Francisco, General Trias City, the Cavite provincial police reported on Wednesday.
The occurrences at Tropical Village-Pabahay, including the confrontation involving a local drug enforcement team, happened in seven hours.
The low-cost housing unit area had been the area of several anti-drug operations and arrests and crime shootings in years, police said.
The General Trias police classified the deaths as Marven Patria, also known as “Melvin,” and Alexander Lumagui Ulgado and Glenn Sierra Magpuri.
Patria died from bullet injuries when he traded shots with the anti-drug-team after opposing arrest at 4:20 p.m. Tuesday.
Among the items collected from the scene and the ensuing search were Patria’s .9mm pistol with a magazine crammed with five bullets, and 15 small sachets of shabu and a fan knife.
The arresting team was forced to shoot Patria when he drew his gun and fired at them, the report said.
Cpl. Ronald Barbuco Didal, the case investigator, said Patria was declared dead on arrival at the General Trias Doctors Medical Center.
