Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) announced earlier last year that there will be more point-to-point bus services coming from Cavite to Makati this 2019. On December of 2018, Metro Express advertised the new routes with pickup locations from Dasmariñas and Bacoor to different drop-off spots in Makati City.
Recently, Facebook page ‘Make It Makati’ published the updated rates for 2019. Caviteño travelers bound to and fro Makati will have to pay the Php 150 fare using the PrimeTap card. Meanwhile, commuters using the Bacoor to Makati route will be charged P110.
Pickup locations are established at Robinsons Dasmariñas and Camella Dasma Hi-Way; Vista Mall Daang Hari in Bacoor; and Trasierra in Makati. These buses will also be unloading the passengers in Landmark, the Ayala Avenue Bus Stop, the RCBC Plaza, and Circuit Makati.
Majority of the responses from the said Facebook post garnered concerns regarding the fare for the P2P bus services. In comparison to the amount charged by UV Express vans from Imus-Bacoor to Makati, which ranges at Php 50 to Php 60, netizens cried that the new P2P bus routes seem unfavorable for the frequent travelers.
