In the face of the nationwide battle against drugs, Cavite participates in the DRUG FREE HOME stickers campaign lead by the Philippine National Police (PNP). Households in Barangay Asisan, Tagaytay started posting the said stickers on Monday, to indicate that the residents are non-drug users or are no longer involved with selling or using drugs. The cleared houses are determined through the help of the local Peace and Order Council (POC), the barangay official and police.
There are still about 25,700 households in 85 barangays to be visited and verified by the Cavite police and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA).
The campaign is a part of the Drug-Free Family campaign of PRO-Calabarzon which includes the provinces of Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal, and Quezon. The DRUG FREE HOME movement is a peaceful, non-violent approach of the police force in the Calabarzon region.
