Manila, Philippines — Cavite Vice Governor Ramon “Jolo” Revilla III took his oath as the newest member of the Partido Demokratiko Pilipino – Lakas ng Bayan (PDP-Laban) on May 31, Wednesday. PDP Laban is the party of the Republic of the Philippines 2016 elected President Rodrigo Roa Duterte.
The mass oath taking, held at the Office of the Senate, was headed by Senate President Koko Pimentel. Alongside new party members Department of Agriculture Sec. Manny Piñol, Quezon City 5th District Rep. Alfred Vargas, Marikina City Mayor Marcelino Teodoro and its City Council, Vice Gov. Jolo Revilla swore to seek the values and principles that the party upholds.
“As a new member of PDP-Laban, I am committed to bringing the party’s programs and projects to our province. The interest of the people should be my first priority,” Revilla said.
On June 2013, Revilla won as vice governor in the province of Cavite together with running mate Former Cavite Governor Jonvic Remulla. Having been elected at the age 25, Revilla is the youngest vice governor in the history of Philippines.
